Details: Security Clearance: OtherREQUIREDExcellent written and oral communication skills.Proficient with Concordance and IPro database softwares.Familiar with Microsoft Office software programs (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook) and WordPerfect Office Suite.Ability to obtain a security clearance.Must be a U.S. Citizen. DESCRIPTIONThe position is located at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Alexandria, VA. Some travel may be required to the USAO offices in Richmond, Norfolk, and Newport News,VA. Working under the supervision of a Victim-Witness Specialist:Assisting in data management, to include inputting, tracking, reviewing and production.Inputting data into the Victim Notification System, including case names, USAO case numbers, investigative agency case numbers, defendant names, victim names and addresses.Generating and distributing notification letters, via U.S. Mail, e-mail and other forms of delivery, when required.Reviewing, updating and correcting Bureau of Prisons Sentry Inmate Error Report with updated information, on a daily basis.Reviewing, updating and correcting Charges Filed Reject logs with updated information, on a daily basis.Creating victim files and maintaining the filing system.Conducting CLEAR searches, to update addresses from returned notifications.Returning victim phone calls and providing, or researching to provide, answers to victim questions.
