Reviews and amends as necessary all real estate closing documents. Drafts standard construction contracts and related standard agreements.JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES1. Review and amend real estate development and financing documentation to assure compliance with Mercy Housing standards and work with local real estate development staff and legal counsel with particular attention to corporate legal issues. 2. Draft and update standard contracts, including: • Design and Construction Contracts. • Vendor agreements. • Intercompany agreements 3. Review or draft all commercial leases to be entered into by Mercy housing entities, whether as landlord or tenant. 4. Coordinate and manage the legal needs of departments within Mercy Housing corporate and field offices.5. Legal drafting and document review, including preparation of Board meeting resolutions, officer’s certifications, and other documents as needed (i.e., Promissory Notes; Assignment and Assumption Agreements, and Purchase Agreements related to partner substitutions.)6.
